There is extra credit to be had in these next pictures, Classmates!  First there is a fine feline photograph. Then next, bring on the party! Actually, the party is in a photograph from way back in 1954. The party was given by our classmate Elaine (Parker) Ballou and her older sister, Sally.  The guests were friends of both Elaine and Sally; so the Guess?Mates have SOME answers this time, but we don’t know the names of every one of the 13 people at the Parker Party. Actually, there were 13.5 because one of the people at the right is only halfway in the picture.  EXTRA POINTS, students, if you can identify both halves of that person! (Clue: It’s a guy!) Guess ready, guess set, GuessMates!

What kind of cat is this and which one of our classmates does it belong to?(EXTRA POINTS if you can tell us Courbe’s name!)

Who all were at Elaine and Sally Parker’s Party in 1954?

Here's the key to get into the Parker Party via time-travel.

Answers
Courbe the cat is a Scottish Fold Cat who belongs to Mary Ann Waterman. The Parker party folks are identified in the photo on the far right.

Mr Robert Watts 8th Grade Class 1953

Did you figure out who all our classmates are here, in Mr. Robert Watts’ eighth grade homeroom, 53 years ago? It was good we had nametags [so artfully made by JoAnn (Westermeier) and Mike Warren] at the Reunion so we could recognize each other. And if you didn’t recognize all these classmates, here are the answers. (THANKS to Mr. Robert watts, who was at the Reunion with his wife, Mary Ann, and named most of the classmates. Thanks again to classmate Jim Kottke for this photo.)

1. Mr. Robert Watts       6. Bill Purdy       11. Marilyn Starkey       16. Nancy Nelson       21. Tom McCann
2. Pat Miller         7. Jon Pfeiffer   12. Donna Krampetz      17. Dreana Graves      22. Phil Peralta
3. Roger Keeling           8. Bill Maksimas 13. Milly Barbour           18. Ruth Moon            23. Bob Wass
4. Charles Staples        9. Fred Rankin    14. Sandy Nelson         19. Robert McDougall 24. Jim Kottke
5. Jay Frazier               10. Bill Gordon     15. Kay Tripp                  20. Jerry Powell           25. Mike Warren

It was classmate David Holt’s great idea to have this ClassmateContest. But no one guessed all the names of the classmates in this picture. Since I couldn’t figure out how to crochet a bathtub that would actually hold water, it’s probably just as well!

MAJOR JACKPOT BONUS GUESS PICTURE

Guess the WHO, WHEN, WHERE, WHY and HOW of this picture.
The answers at the Reunion October 6 or we'll send it if you can’t be there.

Major Jackpot Bonus Answer
David Holt was the only one to guess all the Ws: It's our Vice Principall, Mr. Robert Hall in Jube 1957 on our Senior Trip in a lifeboat on the cruise ship we took around the Great Lakes.  Mr. Hall was "placed" in it bythe only Whos we'll never tell on. And why did we do it? Because we loved Mr. Hall!

EXTRA CREDIT CLASSROOM PICTURE

Vintage 1950 photograph. Notice the dress code of the Southfield 10 classroom, especially for this December 21 picture day. Identify everyone you can in the picture. The future President of our 1957 Senior Class is in the picture, and so is the woman who now helps crew on Michigan's tall ship Madeline!

We can’t identify all the classmates, but our 1957 Senior Class President is in the very middle of the picture, in row 4 (from the left) seat 3—Gary Evans; the woman who now helps crew on the Madeline is Sally Woodbridge, row 3, seat 5.  In row 1, seat 1 is John Watkins; row 1, seat 4 is Arlene Nepstad; row 1, seat 5 is (we think) Bruce Greenfield; row 1, seat 7 is the teacher, Mrs. McCracken,

row 2, seat 1 is Shirley McDonald; row 2, seat 3 is Mike Warren; row 3, seat 1 is Barry Allen Silvarman; row 3, seat 4 is (we think) Bob Cheeks; row 3, seat 7 is (we think) Lorraine Libtow; row 5, seat 2 is Jim Kottke; row 5, seat 6 is (we think) April Bassler, and row 5, seat 7 is Barb Meinecke.  Can YOU identify any of the other 25?
